I'm the 'My Father Was A Racer' guy, and I must say I don't match this text-wise.
I think this is brilliant stuff and would like to say : Keep Trying !!
We could end up with a worthy LFS song ?
If not this one, maybe the next one ?
Benn driving very close to 300.000 Km in aprox 3 years.
Fed up ? Not at all, and if that was bound to be the case, it would have happened a LONG time ago.
Sorry to say, but I started watcing the replay but got more fun out of watching the two guys Drag racing. Frankly I see no special things to remark to your style of driving, and suspect you only wants to share your excitement over S2 with us, and I share it with you.
CTRA 1 is the place where things happens, in my opinion. That's where the fun is. Survive T1 in any start and you're on your way !!!
If you check your mirror, you'll see my happy face.
If one wants to keep an eye on CT constantly, it's a problem, allright, but with a button on the wheel, you'll be able to get a glance evry once in a while when you feel like ?
Is that not good enough ?
Or maybe I missed your point ?
It's a 12 bar piece, but apart from that, I don't really consider this a 'BLUES' - well, after the harp was added, it got more like a blues. If it's a blues, it's a happy 'white' blues, but that's not even a 'legal' term, I suspect.
The plan is to add Drums and Bass ( maybe piano ). Besides Gunn, another guy has entered the scene.
Andrew G ( LFS Reg. Name and real name ) from Alias Racing Team has joined in, and he delivered a test-run that was very promising. It all kind of depends on me, I'm afraid, and I'm not at all comfortable with the way things turned out.
It made me very nervous.
Read my intro-post and tittle of Thread. It says I hoped this humble / simple piece of music, would inspire someone to get together and do a proper LFS song.
I did not take offence ( LOL ) in the links above, I realized right away it was the FRIDAY part, that this concerned. And I must say :
There is NO DEADLINE. I'm very carefull and evry pick and note from my side, is carefully planned. It took about 27 Takes, to make the first version with me alone.

Help ! Somebody help me !
What have I got myself into ? After getting in touch with Gunn and recieved some files with his music ( espcially WAHJAM ) I realized I'm a nobody. I'm out of his league and not worthy playing on same track as he.
Someone, have a hearth and take over from me ? PLZ ?
Just to inform you : Gunn send back the file with a Blues-harp added to it.
Some brilliant stuff.
If you ask nicely, maybe he'll put it here for you to listen to ?
Next is Bass, I guess ?
well - MZWizard, I really wish you hadn't posted that link, but I'll let it go this time as I know you did it in good faith.
I don't like the thread turning into something about ME and what I do, but as stated, hoped to inspire someone.
Not that I'll neglect wishes for more tunes or music.
That piece you linked, is something I did almost a year ago, before obtaining new instrument. It's a Shadows instrumental and I only did it to get used to handling recording software ( I used Audition ) and to play around with tracks.
I would have chosen a different piece if I had the saying, and I know you have most of my stuff.
To set things right. Allan says I did do Johnny B Goode, but is is mistakenly confusing that with Roll Over Beethoven, which too, is a Berry number much like Johnne B Goode in style and sound.
gee - thanks, guys ( sweeping away a tear of joy )
My idea was to inspire someone to do a much better piece.
I'm 60 years old, mind you, and I lack knowlegde about recording, which is obvious when listening to the noise and unwanted sounds.
It's also clear to hear I had to record over last line in chorus, due to I pronouncing Scawen all wrong and found out from video how to do it right. I did like in raven ( Scaven ).
Anyone who cares to - could or should 'get together' and produce the number in quality - or even better, do another number which is better fitted for LFS ?
While listening to John Lee Hooker doing 'My Father Was A Jockey', I suddenly had a brain-storm. By changing some words and adding a verse or two of my own, I ended up with this simple kind of 'Live For Speed' Blues song.
I know for a fact that some of you will think: phfff, this is some simple stuff - and that's what is is. Nothing fancy going on.
My main hope is that this will inspire some to do better and produce a Live For Speed Song ? This one is NOT a contender to that, but my humble way of giving Scawen and Co. the 'thumbs up'.
Tha plan was to have some friend from LFS adding Bas and anotherone doing a solo guitar, but both failed me ( or got scared ?), so I was forced to lay down another simple guitar track to prevent it from beeing too simple.
The sigh you hear in the very start, is due to it's TAKE 19:
"My Father Was A Racer"
A Major
Song and guitar: Alias Racing Team John Holme
I noticed that when you cross the finish line, your not actually finish till the BACKEND of the car is over the end of the wide finish line - in those cases where it's that type of line ( a broad line ( checkered ) ) ?
You can on last lap park your car with all of the car crossed the line except a tiny bit of the backend - then slowly drive forward and suddenly you FINISH and time and possition appear.
I've installed the files needed including the Horn5, but I hear no Police-sirene. Not when I use it or when police does, all I hear is that anoying #5 hornsound ?
I tried reinstall file more than once, to no avail....solution ?
I'm curious, too. I've tried to get a button on Momo wheel with Wingman Profiler, to act as push-to-talk, but I can't get it to work.
I know some have it done ( like ppl with Saitek wheel ) but some tells me it's not possible with all wheels, alltho' I doubt that is correct?
Looking foreward to see if any solution appears here.
